Our History
Trypuc Philanthropic Office (TPO) was created to fill an unmet need in the finance and philanthropic sectors for an independent and objective place to go to for charitable giving advice. Akin to a family office, the firm would provide customized strategy, operational management and wide-ranging advisory services exclusively in philanthropy. As a growing segment of the world’s high net worth and ultra-high net worth individuals are increasingly inclined to consider philanthropic money managers, TPO recognized the need to provide these services in Canada.
Our Approach
We help clients do good, better.
We seek to create informed and effective solutions in philanthropy to maximize positive social and environmental change.
our objective
We connect philanthropically oriented individuals and investors with high-quality social and environmental investments (across the strategic philanthropy spectrum, from charity grant making through to impact investing). We work with a wide range of clients including: individuals, families, foundations, investment managers, family offices, brokers, trust and estate lawyers, corporations and the government.
As active intermediaries, we structure grant portfolios, conduct due diligence, advise on and develop asset allocations and the selection of third-party investment options (management firms/impact funds) or assist the donor in this process. We bring objective direction and confidence to the daily management of our clients’ charitable giving and philanthropic efforts. We help our clients to clearly define the path they want to take and to develop a broad and long-term outlook, coupled by a plan, and the implementation to get there. We work closely with our clients’ existing professional advisors to ensure seamless coordination and integration.
Our Value-Add
There are many businesses, both for profit and not for profit in the Canadian landscape that offer some of the services that TPO offers. However, there are no independent full-service offices that provide our specific suite of philanthropic services, conflict-free, with the deepened expertise, boutique milieu and flexibility of customization across all service offerings.
With nearly two decades combined experience in consulting, philanthropy, project management and finance, the TPO leadership team has the accrued knowledge and skills necessary to excel in the provision of its service offerings whilst ensuring the client’s needs and objectives are their number one priority.
TPO works in tandem with clients’ existing professional advisors to provide seamless integration of services. Additionally, we engage a wide network of specialists to provide optimal services and solutions tailored to meet the unique needs of each client.
